Safe @ Work specializes in onsite drug and alcohol testing, serving Dallas Fort Worth, throughout Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

    Benefits of onsite testing:

Reduced Employee Downtime: Testing employees on-site eliminates the need to travel to an off-site facility, significantly reducing lost work hours and avoiding disruptions to daily operations.

Cost Efficiency: Employers save money by cutting out employee travel time, expenses, and the potential liability associated with employees traveling in company vehicles for testing.

Enhanced Test Integrity: Conducting tests on-site immediately after a selection (especially for random or post-accident testing) reduces the opportunity for an employee to tamper with a sample, thus ensuring greater accuracy and reliability of results.

Faster Results and Immediate Decision Making: On-site rapid tests can provide preliminary results within minutes, allowing employers to make prompt decisions regarding hiring, employment status, or necessary interventions, which is crucial in safety-sensitive roles or post-incident situations.

Improved Workplace Safety: Regular on-site testing helps maintain a drug-free environment, which lowers the risk of substance-impaired accidents and injuries, fostering a safer atmosphere for all employees.

Increased Productivity and Morale: A safer, more consistent testing program can lead to better employee morale, improved performance, and higher productivity as workers can focus on their tasks in a secure environment.

Compliance and Legal Protection: On-site testing helps companies meet industry-specific regulations (like those from the Department of Transportation or OSHA) and can help reduce an employer's liability in the event of an accident.

Flexibility and Convenience: Employers can schedule testing to align with their specific operational needs, whether for pre-employment screening, random testing, or for-cause incidents, 24/7.

  • Want to send your employees to a brick-and-mortar location? Safe @ Work’s Patient Service Center is conveniently located in the heart of the DFW Metroplex in downtown Arlington. Open Monday - Friday from 9 am to 4:30 pm. Closed from 12 pm to 1:30 pm. CPS cutoff time to test is 3 pm.

  • Third-party administration (TPA) for drug testing involves outsourcing an employer's drug and alcohol screening program to an external expert. A TPA manages the entire process—including scheduling, lab, and Medical Review Officer (MRO) coordination—ensuring compliance with federal (DOT) or state regulations, maintaining confidential records, and handling random selections.

    Key Responsibilities and Benefits

    • Compliance Management: Ensuring adherence to strict DOT/FMCSA regulations, reducing legal liability, and aiding in audits.

    • Operational Efficiency: Managing the logistics of random, pre-employment, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion testing, acting as a liaison between employers, collection sites, and labs.

    • Random Selection & Consortiums: Placing employees into a random pool to ensure unbiased,, legally compliant selection, often pooling small companies together for cost-effectiveness.

    • Recordkeeping: Maintaining confidential records of all test results and processes.

    • Expert Services: Providing access to MROs for result verification and Substance Abuse Professionals (SAPs) if needed.

    Why Use a TPA?
Using a TPA, or a Consortium/Third-Party Administrator (C/TPA), frees the employer (specifically the Designated Employer Representative) from dealing with complex, time-consuming compliance tasks and laboratory coordination. It is particularly essential for transportation industries, companies with safety-sensitive positions, or businesses operating across multiple locations.
